#MODERATEROCKRECOMMENDS- July 2020

A quiet month, this. Oh, there’s been a ton of bands making waves as always, plenty of new and excellent songs to check out, but for July my playlist in particular was a little more peaceful than usual. It’s worth sliding up your volume to hear Honeyspider’s newest, and heaviest, track, and catch former Fugazi members conjure wonky wonder with Coriky, but then there’s hymnal bliss from the return of Young Jesus, the dreamy vibes of Kevin Krauter, new Worriedaboutsatan, and more. Maybe i’m getting old (I’m definitely getting old!), maybe it’s the bad back I’ve been barely dealing with for the past four weeks, or maybe the deafening volume that the rest of the world is operating at has done me in, but soothing sounds are the order of the month.

I hope you find something to love.
